Plant Taxonomy Course Visits Toro Negro

Oct 13, 2015

The UPRRP’s Plant Taxonomy class (BIOL 5495) visited Cerro Maravilla in the Toro Negro Forest Reserve to collect plants for the herbarium.

Professors Jim Ackerman and Eugenio Santiago led an enthusiastic group of students (Montana Atwater, Lety Classen, Nicolas Correa, Ahmetsai Cruz, Jesus Gonzalez, Natalie Reyes, José Sánchez and Edgardo Santiago), all having an unnatural aversion to collect sedges and grasses.
